When you use NameFirst.ai, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google or another provider, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture as provided by that service.
  • Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with our platform, including naming sessions, character creation sessions, generated images, and preferences.
  • User-provided content: Text inputs such as character descriptions, naming preferences, and creative prompts that you submit to generate content.
  • Payment information: If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider (Creem). We do not store your full payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the NameFirst.ai service, including AI-powered naming, character creation, and image generation
  • Authenticate your account and maintain session security
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, account notices)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our products and user experience
  • Enforce content safety policies (e.g., NSFW detection on generated images)
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Clerk: Authentication and user management
  • Creem: Payment processing (Merchant of Record)
  • Cloudflare: Infrastructure, edge computing, and content storage (R2)
  • AI text providers (via OpenRouter): Your creative inputs (such as naming preferences, character descriptions) are sent to large language models to generate text content. We do not share your account information with these providers.
  • AI image providers (fal.ai): Text prompts derived from your input are sent to image generation models to create character portraits and other visual assets. No user-uploaded images or account information are shared with these providers.

4. AI Data Processing

NameFirst.ai uses multiple AI services to power its creative tools:

  • Text generation: Your input (such as business descriptions, character concepts, and creative directions) is sent to third-party language models solely to generate content for your session - including naming suggestions, character profiles, and descriptive text.
  • Image generation: Text prompts (enhanced from your input by our system) are sent to third-party image generation models to create character portraits and other visual assets. Only text prompts are sent - no personal data or uploaded images.

We do not use your input to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models. Your data is processed in real-time and is not retained by AI providers beyond the scope of the individual API request.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Session data (naming sessions, generated characters, and associated images) is retained to allow you to revisit and re-download past creations. Generated images are stored on Cloudflare R2. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management. These are essential for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

7. Your Rights

8. Children's Privacy

NameFirst.ai is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
